Tuas is Current’s flagship Asia-Pacific facility and the largest single site in our global portfolio — 1,200 racks of carrier-neutral colocation across 18 MW of critical power, built from the outset as a full regional interconnection hub rather than a single-system cable head. It’s the landing point for Amberline and a key regional interconnection point for traffic carried over Tradewind Express’s Guam branch.
Singapore’s western Tuas corridor is one of the most cable-dense coastal stretches in the world, hosting landing infrastructure for numerous international systems beyond Current’s own — which made Amberline’s route survey and permitting a genuinely complex multi-party coordination exercise (see our cable systems page for detail), and which continues to shape how maintenance and any future system landings in the corridor get scheduled and sequenced.
The facility’s scale reflects Singapore’s role as the primary interconnection point for a large share of Southeast and South Asian hyperscale and carrier capacity demand — most customers buying Amberline capacity are doing so specifically to reach the dense ecosystem of cloud on-ramps, internet exchanges, and carrier interconnection already resident at Tuas and the wider Singapore data center market.
